I found .22 at my Walmart this morning. It was like a Christmas miracle! Been waiting a while for Unique to show up and last week I found some 22LR. Definitely feels like an occasion when you get some 22LR and one of your favorite powders. I hate to promote hording but I'm thinking we better get it while we can. Remember what happens during an election cycle? I'm thinking the next round of politics in 2016 is going to be a real --itstorm for shooters.

A couple of things at least on the upside of all of the various shortages. I think it opened the window a bit in helping the .32's gain in popularity. Back to powder shortages, it caused many of us to try other powders, step outta our comfort zone. Here, I've used Bullseye and have TrailBoss now, that I might never have bought before. Also I've gone further down the path of black powder than I might otherwise have gone. Also now have an interest to try PowerPistol and AL20/28. You ? steve

Between the gospel of the 32 as preached by Reverend Two Dogs and his various disciples, the lack of 22LR plinking ammo made the reloadable .327 more attractive. So much so that I have taken Taffin's advice and acquired a pair and a spare of the Single 7. Kind of a pair and a spare in that I have all three barrel lengths. An interesting parallel with you Steve is that I have dug out two muzzle loaders that I build back in the mid eighties and have begun to enjoy them again. Picked up a Ruger Old Army last summer and have been giving that a work out too.

When you find yourself shooting carpenter bees with a smooth bore flintlock handgun. Your load is black powder, paper wad over powder and a spoon full if course builders sand. When you get through shooting you just drop the barrel and lock in a large plastic bucket of soapy water to soak a while. Then clean and oil for the next time. Friend calls it sand blasting bees.
