I bought one a few weeks back, put twelve rounds through it before a pin in the crane fell out locking up the gun. It's back at Ruger now.

I picked one up last Saturday but haven't been able to break away from work and spring clean-up at home long enough to actually run it. Maybe this weekend?

Same situation as Ryan here. Have one in hand, but haven't shot it yet. Looks to be very well made and locks up tight.
Been installing Belt Mnt Base Pins and extra power latch springs in the Single Sevens this week. Also, new grips, sights, etc to get them all up to par.
SP-101 is next on the list.

I handled one at my local shop last night, I really like the size and handling of the gun.
Now this particular gun had a pile of issues, the finish looked like a 12 year old did it, rough edges all over it, and the "graining" of the stainless was going in all directions, probably the worst finish I have ever seen on a Ruger. The ejector rod was so rough it would barely push the ejector star back without cases in it and the trigger required a wench to pull in double action and the cylinder struggled to open when asked.
The gun has some real potiential, just not THAT gun...

The fit and finish on mine is good, but there are a couple of minor complaints. The ejector rod was a bit rough but smoothed up considerably after working it off and on most of the afternoon. Although I haven't measured it yet, the double action trigger pull is heavy but single action isn't bad despite having some solid creep to it. The front sight was angled a bit in the base slot, too, and only after straightening it inside the slot did I realize the sight itself wasn't cut square. None of these are game changers but it's far from perfect. I really like the size and weight and am anxious to see how it performs.

Got mine out for a complete inspection. About the same a Ryan, again. Ejector rod a bit tight, finish is good, etc.
A little time with a dremel polishing and working all the parts should make it a nice little trail gun.

Had to sight in my father's woodchuck rifle for him this afternoon and managed to steal a few minutes to put some rounds through the SP101. I only had about 20 minutes but managed 20 rounds of Federal 85gr Hydra-Shok JHP and 12 rounds of AE 100gr JSP. At 25 yards the groups were in the 2" range with the Federal load, less with the AE. The AE load shot a 5 shot 1" x 2 1/4" group with 3 of the shots under an inch, the other two strung horizontally to the right. Conditions were excellent but I struggled a bit maintaining a good sight picture with the crooked front sight I mentioned in my earlier post. I tried to attach a picture but gave up on it. I'm sending Todd Corder a check in the morning to try his 125gr GC and am looking forward to shooting that and some other molds I've had awhile.
Forgot to mention...fired 8 of the 20 85gr Hydra Shoks at a football sized rock at about 130 yards, hitting it easily. And, as others have mentioned here, the AE loads are a bit warm. I didn't have to pound them out but did have to use a leather sandbag to assist with ejection.

This past Thursday I dropped off a pistol for my gunsmith friend to work on and he was showing me his SP-101 in .327. It is a nice looking revolver, however, he has only had it for a short time and I sensed that he wanted it to go down the road already. He seems much more possessive of his Kahr CW9.

As one of the addicts of the 327 I know I probably need one of these. It looks like just the platform I have wanted for years. But I am a little troubled by the lack of real world feedback after operating one. Mostly comments referring to roughness of manufacturing and assembly. Question is ,,,, How do they shoot? After much detailed evaluation and feedback on the Single Seven I knew just what to expect and got it. Base pin jumping out on one( and a fast factory fix.) and a funky loading gate on both, but both great shooters and getting better. Thanks to all for all that great test bedding. I already have a 3" SP101 from a previous run but would like the extra inch and the much improved sights. Seems like these did not hit the ground running as did the Single Seven and I'm hoping its just birthing pains. I do not demand a target gun but for that kind of money I don't need rough, crooked and poorly finished if the result is a poor shooter. More shooting feedback please.

I am interested in it but a bit worried about function. A friend here had an earlier production SP101 in .327 mag and it was a very finicky beast with lots of accuracy and extraction issues. I hope these new ones shoot though because they look like a great little knockaround gun.

I wouldn't worry much about "reports." I have seen every revolver made raked over the coals in due time. Rugers for being poorly fit, BFRs for grip frames, FAs for requiring perfect ammo, etc.
Ruger and most of these companies will certainly stand behind any defective product. I heard horror stories galore about the Single Sevens, yet all three of mine have been perfection.
So, lack of "reports," is likely a good sign. If anyone could find something to complain about it would be posted asap.
But, that being said, I will report on mine soon. I expect it to be as good as all Rugers have been to me. I pick it and my new FA-97 (327 Federal too) up as soon as scheduling allows.

Anybody wring one of these out yet? Kind of wondering how they preform compared to a Single Seven or even one of the earlier 3' SP101 in .327?
