OK, so I got it bad. I just can't say "no". Shoulda' listened to Nancy... Bowen built .500 Linebaugh with Rowan dall sheep grips. I've gotten kinda' queer for those fire blue appointments. One way to get a Bowen rear sight!!!   |

Spectacular!! If I were to order a custom the only thing I would add would be color case hardening on the frame (and that wouldn't be a deal breaker). I love figured walnut and ivory, but sheep horn grips (for me)are by far the "best" IMHO.

I'll probably get flack for saying it but I don't care who does it, the case coloring turns that faded gold color due to redox reactions in the metal.
Some may like it but I don't. Had quite a few CC guns and only own two now.

I ain't a fan of the cartoonish case colors either. Those sheep grips look great against that blue! Case colors would have "washed" out on the grips in my opinion. Beautiful revolver!

I'm not up to buying high end customs yet... but someday when I get there... I'd like to buy one just like that...
BTW... I also love fire blued screws, as a pocket watch collector, those fire blued screws & hands just make the guys of a watch pop... they look every bit as good on a revolver
