OK, so this is a long shot but..
Over on the Ruger forum a while back some fella had some special screws and pins with long cylindrical, knurled heads (i don't know what to call them)
on them that you could use to easily install and disassemble the gripframe, trigger and hammer while tuning the gun.
Anybody know what these are called/where to get them or how to find that post?

Want me to send you a set to try? I have either one or two sets in the parts box.

You two win the "Good Guy" prizes for the day!
And I'm not nuts...well, at least I was right about seeing them posted.

Not to far off subject I hope. How loud would folks howl if Ruger were to use a torx type head on few of their grip frame screws? I myself think they are ugly, but, the sure work good. Jeff

Jeff Torx is great for the first use or two, but use an undersized (cheap chinese) bit or don't hold it perfectly square and you quickly have a useless round hole where a screwhead used to be. Also, I think it would look hideous on the side of a gun.

Ah so true. But the cheap Chinese junk applies to all and not just torx. Same goes for all things mechanical when it comes to tools and equipment. I agree whole heartedly they are butt ugly. Jeff

kings 6 is a good guy on here. He sent me a handful of 414 brass and refused payment. He wouldn't even let me pay for shipping.

I think if Kings6 was truly a nice guy--he would send that 414 supermag to me for long term corrosion resistance testing.

Sorry Greg, I am a falsely nice guy! The 414 gets to stay in Oregon for a while longer. Once the last Quest gun gets done then we will look at what to do with the collection.
Bushog, I saw that you found the guy on the forum so I did not dig the screws out. If you still want them or if he is out, let me know and I will round them up and head them your way.
