Have you thought about a used one? Recent rules changes to both USPSA and IDPA have left many people with guns they can no longer use or be competitive with, so used 625's abound, probably with many more to follow.

Thanks I'll probaly just wait it out. No rush. What rule changes you mentioned made the 625's a no go?

I have a 625 PC and other than the grips its a great gun, very smooth action, great trigger pull, very accurate, the red white blue grips were a little thin and small for me so went with wood finger groove hogues, much better,I bought mine used and would buy another in a heartbeat, cant wait to carry it some in my Simply Rugged pancake, hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine

+1 I have a 4" and a 5" 625 PC and am extremely happy with both. Well worth the wait.

One of the lgs is headed out to Texas this week as s&w has a trade show going on. He will be back Thursday and said to give him a call . He's gonna ask them when they will the 625 pc will be available. Glad to hear folks here like em. Since most here replace the grips what are you running and where did you git em?

Just realized I never got back, ref the rules changes.
USPSA made 8 shot revolvers legal, so now anyone shooting a 625 (which was about 98% of the revolver shooters in USPSA) now have obsolete equipment. Fine for fun, but no longer competitive against 8 shooters.
And I believe IDPA changed the rules and did away with the moon clipped guns (not 100% sure on the details with that one).
So there are, and will probably be a lot more 625's on the used market.
