It takes a lot of cleaning and the family did it instead of Cabelas. That might be part of the decision.
At least the callshot museum might be open later on when I am famous. Like that will ever happen?

Lots of great photos posted of the museum. These are my favorite. Sharing a bag of callshot brass with Elmer Keith. Steve

Guessing they weren't making much from the square footage allowed and Ted directed the sale? My youngest son Tony and I headed through the place a few years ago traveling from our place in the Idaho panhandle to our place in the Texas Hill Country. My excuse was buying a M29 from a Ruger Forum member in Boise making the trip four hours longer. Enough said.

Thanks for posting these. Sad to see a small piece of history begin to fade.

Thanks much Stump Buster, for posting all the pix, well done. Sure is a lot of neat stuff there. I can only imagine what the two 5" Smiths are going to go for! Still kicking myself for not going to visit Keith and O'Connor when I lived not far from both of them, back in the mid 70's. Young and dumb.

Is it the lighting or angle, or is the ejector housing a little screwy on this thing? Looks like it's running way uphill towards the muzzle.
