Is the s&w 625 the only one out there? How do you folks feel about the 625 JM model?

I've got the S&W 625 PC model. I'm keeping it. In the FWIW category, Fermin, aka 2Dogs, had a 625 PC that wasn't a good one.....

The PC is what the JM should be, or for that matter all of the ACP guns. What kind of issues did Fermin have with his? Jeff

I love my 625JM and have been using it in IDPA for years...I wouldn't sell this gun.

I found a Smith 25-2 at a gun show a few years ago, and sent it off to Hamilton Bowen. He shortened the barrel to 4" and put a new sight on and blued the gun. It has some stag stocks on it now, and it's a looker. Kelye

FWIW Alan says he is up for making a 45 Colt out of a 44 Mag Dan Wesson. Bet he could do a 45 ACP on one too!

For the time and effort that Fermin put into his PC 625 his dollars would have been much more productive having a nice custom N frame 45 ACP revolver built. The 25-5 built into a 45 ACP gun I ran into last year was a work of art. Custom cylinder was properly chambered like the FA cylinders are. My taper crimped handloads did not need moon clips to properly headspace like my JM and PC 625s and every factory 45 ACP S&W revolver I've ever held do. A nice stainless or blue N frame would be a good starting point.
