Friend that medically retired dropped by the office last week and showed me what I believe to be the above-named revolver, along with a box. He said his wife's great-uncle had left it to him.
It looked to be in excellent condition. He also said it had no more than a cylinder shot through it, and had a very old box of .32 S&W Longs that he said was missing that many shells.
A classic, bought-it, shot-it then put it in the nightstand for more than 60 years handgun.
I told him he was fortunate as I'd long wanted one like that to shoot bunnies with wadcutters.
He called me up a few ago and said he'd sell it to me for $400 since a couple of stores in town appraised it between $400-$600. He said he has no emotional ties to the gun and doesn't really need it.
I told him I'd do some research and that if he could hold it till after the holidays I might grab it, but was truly only looking for a handy, old-school itty bitty game popper (although it's technically legal for deer in Tennessee!)
So y'all are my research board: is that a price fair to he and I?

Sounds like an excellent price to me! I've only run across a few of those over the years. The few I've run across have sold for more than that.
