Stopped off in Cabela's on the way home and say this sitting in the case. It's been refinished, with some nickeled small parts. I'd tell you fellows what I bought it for, but I might want to turn it . The color is not washed out between pics - the grips really are two different colors. SN 49926, if anyone has a reference work and could give any info, I'd appreciate it.

WOW, congratulations, you have probably snatched up the dream of most of us on the forum. Ok so it's been refinished, it's a great shooter & awsome perfect packing pistol to coin a phrase from a pretty famous writer! That is nice, thanks for sharing & please give us a range report when you get to it.

For years I eyed a friend's 38-44 heavy frame his dad had on the Ventura Sheriff's Dept. in the 50s.
Of course, no way would it ever be sold.
Never found another to equal it.

Traded into a 28-2 today. First thing that happened when I got home was a stock swap. These suit this piece a bit better, in my opinion. I could use the heck out of that beater for sure.Perfect back pocket S.E Alaska walking around gun.
