Kimber 45 ACP Pro Carry earned a place in my heart yesterday... My first 14 rounds off hand out of the gun at 10 yards.. Little sanity check before it becomes a primary house gun.....

I've found my ProCarry to be similiarly accurate, although it takes more concentration to shoot that way than a full-sized 1911.

My Pro CDP also shoots like that. Hard to beat these guns, but I am looking for one of Colts Series '70s retros

Can't beat a Colt for that "Money In The Bank" aspect but Kimber raised the bar for everyone in the 1911 market... I have ended up with quite a few... Found a Target Match from 2005 yesterday... Tight slick little gun... Added it to my Super Match, Gold Match, Team Match, Stainless Target, CDP Compact, Pro Carry, Ultra Carry,...etc... "set." Still need a SIS just haven't found the right deal yet...... Now I have customs that will out shoot the best of them but dollar for dollar I find Kimber hard to beat...

That target looks like most that I've shot with my Kimber Royal. Can't speak to their "Series II" pistols, but my earlier gun has been a peach! I am sure you are right, I could spend a LOT more on a custom pistol but it wouldn't shoot any better than this one does. Stag grips crafted by Scott Kolar -- Brian

This is good for a carry gun but don't even think that a true well built paper punching custom won't shoot one ragged bullet hole at 10 yards... The best paper punching 1911 I ever owned virtually shot this size group at 50 yards from a Ransom Rest with WW wadcutter... I have seen a well built bullseye 1911 actually shoot better after a full year of competition...
