My bosses daughter... good friends as well. I've been here 10 years this month, so I've pretty much seen her grow up. Her dad is an AVID bowhunter...his eyes start to glaze over about the middle of September :-) He's leaving for Kansas (from Kentucky) next Monday for 2 weeks to bowhunt there.
The 2008 deer, her first was shot with the rifle resting on his arm for a rest, but her holding the rifle. The rest she has shot with no aid at all. Her first words after shooting this one? "I love my rifle"... She wimpered from the recoil when she shot the turkey and then ran and grabbed it...she's pretty tough.

Very nice.
Wish I knew where everyone's finding these awesome bucks, tho. I have never, in my entire 45 years on this planet seen a buck the size of those beasts, let alone had the opportunity to shoot one. FWIW, I grew up on a farm in KS & live out in the sticks of NC, so it's not like I've been sequestered away in a "no deer zone".

He should already be here, the bucks have been running the does HARD for about a week and a half. They started a little earlier than I'm used to seeing this year. I've seen about 4 killed in the past week in the 170-180 range! Two south of the house here and then 2 down near Emporia killed by a couple buddies from back home in MS..
