The alloy is pretty much straight WW and I doubt it is expanding, but it could be just a bit. Might be fun to try one of those forester hollow pointing tools on a few and see what difference it makes. Of course with the popularity of the 300 BO, I'm sure that there are some jacketed HPs that are designed for the velocity range I'm running in.
I do have a box of Hornady .309" 90gr XTPs That might work well.

The Sierra 125, 135 and Nosler 125BT, might work fine. Hornady used to make a 130 Spitzer for contender handguns, but it's been discontinued.
The beauty of your 30 Badger is the versatility to run plinkers to deer killers in a super efficient case with no fuss involved in case prep.
The only reason I'd grab a 300 blk is for the threaded barrel to add a can later on.

I went back and reread this a few days back. Didn't even think about posting and bringing back for others to read, duh...
Good Move...

Here's another on the topic, if interested. Not sure why he signed up, posted for a few weeks and disappeared on THIS forum, but I know he was treated very poorly on another I used to frequent, right around the same time.
EDIT: Not implying hew was mistreated here, by the way.

This is the thread I thought about when the latest thread started on the 30 Reese and Rook rifles.
