Where I live, in Western N.C., we still rarely see .22 ammo for sale except at one place that charges $65 a brick for Aguila. Luckily, I still have about 14,000 rounds of LR most of which goes back to mid 80's to early 90's. Damned sure no $65 Aguila for me.
But, in what may be a good sign of things forthcoming, today I stopped at Cabela's in Greenville, S.C., on the way to the Alabama CSA get-together. This is a smaller-size store, not one of the flagship stores, by any means. The shelves were chock full of CCI .22 LR and .22 Mag. ammo ... the most I've seen offered for sale in years, and the crew was still unloading a pallet. "Reasonable" prices, too, given the ammo inflation we've seen.
CCI is the only manufacturer I've seen in recent months, beginning to trickle out .22 supply. Kinda helped me feel warm and fuzzy for a while.

Same here. Have not seen .22lr at Walmart since Sandy Hook. Dick's had some, but only overpriced AE 50rd boxes & bricks of Remington.

Local gas station had a couple of the Federal 525 round boxes of Federals for $79.99 Best of all was a local "sporting good store" had a couple boxes and I mean 50 rd boxes of Remington Thunderbolts for $10 a BOX!! They weren't worth the $10 a brick I remember buying them for 30 years ago. Have no idea when Wally world will have them again. A buddy that works in one of Jeff City's wally world superstores told me its been the same for over a year, every morning when the 22 ammo is stocked the same crew shows up and buys it all as soon as it hits the shelves.

I haven't had too much trouble finding the CCI mini mags 100 round boxes for $8 to $9 per box. Back before the great drought they were around $6/hundred.

Just kills me the bastards that buy up whatever's on the shelf and then sell it online at scalper prices! "Free market economy... Blah blah blah..."

Was home in the Texas hill country a few weeks ago and Walmart had a fair bit of CCI standards at $6.99/box of a 100, this late in the morning. I bought all they had, 72 boxes.

I just bought two boxes of 50 American Eagle yesterday for $2.49 a box, limit two per customer per day. They would not sell me a brick. They had lots of it.
