www.gunauction.com/buy/12995770Fellas, I had a major hand in the making of this rifle some time ago. Sold it to finance a safari or something. McMurrays Gunsmithing in Arlington, WA did the metal and barrel work etc. I did all the stock work but the checkering which I let Fajen do for me and I think the semi inletted stock came from them as well. Since I sold it, it has been D&T'd for the scope, the bolt handle moded, and the M70 safety installed. I had never intended for it to wear glass, but it looks fine doing so. I nearly fainted when I saw it up for auction! It shot very well even with just the Express sights. It was a lot of fun collecting all the parts and seeing it all come together.

I have one coming from GB right now. The CZ LUX model that is not often seen, same cal. and basic style, though more Euro of course.
Currently the LUX is only in 9.3 and 7 mag I believe.
I am a sucker for the .284 bore.

I know nothing of these customs, did it end up being a good price? Sure was pretty.

Yeah I was surprised to see how high it went. I got the CZ I noted above, took it to the range this week. Shows real promise. With the 140 gr Fed HiShok, it was plonking 'em right in the x ring at 100. I then found a sort of rare Mauser (HEYM) model 2000 on GB in my other fave 7, the 7x64. Pretty neat looking rifle, will have it late next week or early after. I have this cal in a Steyr M Professional that shoots really well and if this Mauser shoots at all like that I will probably let the Steyr go as I haven't shot it in some time.

You were right about never intending for it to be scoped. Nice rifle.
