Just assembled my new T/C Carbine in 327 Federal. The internet is full of authorities on everything, but I had to know for myself.
Rynite stock and foreend, Vortex 2x7 scope, Warne mounting system and a custom 22" Shilen barrel.
Pictures and range report to follow for those interested.
But, I have a feeling this is an underestimated configuration in performance and versatility.

Sounds like a great set-up to me. What twist did you go with on the barrel, and what types/weights of bullets do you plan to use?

Twist rate is 1 in 16". Jacketed bullets include 85 & 100 grn XTPs and Sierra 90 grn HPs. Also hard cast 100 & 115 grns. Want to try some cast bullets 120 grn plus.

am watching for barrels that i could rechamber to .327 myself, have a severe desire for a gun so chambered but so far no one has built one except the freedom arms m97 that just aint in budget rite now! been playing hard with a .32-20wcf barrel that lusted after since late 80s. am impressed and in love despite having only fired remington factory loads so far building up brass as i debate mold purchase

I have a FA-97 ordered in 327 Fed/32-20 WCF and two of the Lipsey's Single Sevens. I really like the 32s and that prompted the building of this rifle.

encore64,
I got in to this post a little late but I am very interested in what you are doing. Can you provide me with a little background on what you had to do to get this .327 Federal Magnum T/C Rifle set up. I have an idea that this was not as easy to put together as you are making it sound. If you don't mind, I would be really interested in how you put this project together and Yes, I will be very interested in your photos, results as I think I will be following in your footsteps!!!
Thank You for your assistance in this matter, it is greatly appreciated!
Respectfully,
RABULL

Testing has finally started and results looking good. Started with American Eagle 85 & 100 grn factory.
85 grn at 2227 fps 100 grn at 2162 fps
Both with very low spreads.
Posting from my phone. Full report later, including handloading results.

Bump for updates... With the price of Martini Cadets (my preference for these kinds of projects) having gone over what I want to/can spend, I'm having to consider the T/C and Handi-Rifles for such a project.
