I haven't shot a lot of the CP stuff, but you are correct that they are sized on the smallish side. The first time I loaded a 500L CP bullet (350gr WFNGC), it could easily seat in the brass without flaring the case mouth at all. I mean no case tension - I could seat them by hand. Those loads did not impress me accuracy wise, but I didn't experiment with them a bunch either.
The 435gr WFNGC bullets that I have tried (again sized to .511) did shoot well in my Linebaugh built gun - no leading.
The best bullets that I have tried so far have been MBW PB 440gr Keith sized at .512.
I will start casting my own as soon as I build my lead supply back up.

If you don't mind HORRIBLE customer service use Cast Perfoemance. I placed an order for 475 bullets on 7/10 and still not a word. I have called them twice to find out status and all I get is a machine-NO call backs. Tom, Curious have you been taken care of in the last several days by CP.... I got an email Friday from CPBC. They said 2 more weeks, which is fine. I just wanted to be kept informed. I meant to post that I recieved a reply, but with work, son's football practices, ect. I didn't get the chance to. Thanks for reminding me.

Thanks for clarifying the observation Arokcrwlr. I've always interpreted their bullets as being specialized for hunting, with a matching price. For plinking, it's a waste of $, unless you don't have other options. I just thought the sizing was unusual based on the application
Tom, glad your order worked out. Im not set up to lube/size 475s otherwise I'd cast some for ya as a good will gesture
