I have searched high and wide for the past year, nearly every gun shop in the upper Midwest and every online retailer I can think of. NO ONE has any HS6. I have searched so damn long for this powder I actually had a few dreams of finding it- no lie! Dear God, do I think I have a problem... Anyone here sitting on a pound or two they'd part with anywhere in the Midwest, or know of anywhere to find any? I saw some for sale on Gun Broker for $50 per lb plus shipping. At that price, I will just skip it all together. My poor, poor .475 Linebaugh is desperate to give this powder a try! I beg and plead everyone to think not about me, but about that poor BFR! -John

The biggest problem is be prepared to buy a keg or at least enough to make it worth the shipping charges. You can ship about 4 kegs I think for the same hazmat as a pound. You'd have to check that though.

Will do- If I find it in stock online, I'm ready to pull the trigger on as much as they'll let me buy!

This powder thing is so crazy. I'm a bit west of Zeus and while I haven't been on the lookout for a while, it seems that any time I check in at the hardware they've got at least SOMETHING if not most of the powders on my watch list. This includes HS-6, H110/W296, 4227, and even Unique, which, while I don't prefer it, works as a decent substitute for HS-6.

I'm just glad I haven't run out of HS-6 yet. Before this insanity hit us,, I bought 3 kegs. I figure I can ride out the storm. Now,,, if you are anywhere near WNC,,, maybe a road trip by you MIGHT allow you to acquire a pound to sample.

I haven't seen Unique, H110, 2400, or Trail Boss on a shelf in maybe 2 years. I got "lucky" and found Ramshot Silhouette on a shelf, but I'd never tried it before. So far I like it a lot! Which is a good thing cuz I accidentally paid about $40/lb! I was making a large purchase and didn't notice they extra bucks at checkout. I feel ripped off, but still kinda glad I bought it. Store owner(small place) said he hadn't found pistol powder in over 6 months. (currently denver area, need to get out and shop the small town shops)

There is one pound on Gunbroker plus heavy ship and hazmat. Not sure its worth it. I only have about a half pound left.
It also appears to be in stock at Midway.

Remember that Win 540 is the same thing as HS-6 incase anyone has any of that laying around.... Kinda like 296 = H110.
