I know, I know. Youtube is full of people actingly dumbly with firearms. But this guy takes the cake. Check out his grip - puts his hand right near the cylinder gap...then, to boot, he does a recoil inspired double tap. It might also have hit his noggin. Somebody's gonna get hurt if they keep that up. www.youtube.com/watch?v=98C69YCd5KU

Can't recall on which forum I read it, but a girl shot herself in the head accidentally when some idiot gave her a S&W 500 to shoot as some sort of rediculous "manly" joke. The gun recoiled back and under her head, and reflexively she pulled the trigger again from the recoil and literally blew her head off.
Yeah- that idiot in the video is going to blow a tip off his finger at the very least, so close to the cylinder gap! Darwin award recipient in the making... More air for me to breathe!

This is the kind of stuff we get to see when kids grow into adults without being properly exposed to the shooting world. Think about it. For decades,,, most homes had firearms, and everybody was schooled in their use. Then along came the "civilized" folks who decided they didn't need guns in the homes. Kids grew up in homes where firearm safety & all wasn't taught. Next,, add in TV & movies. Hollywierd portrays stupid stuff that isn't real, and kids learn their skills from that. We now get to see the results, just like in this video.

There is a famous one where some skinny ass bikini clad girl is handed a 50 AE Desert Eagle. People are laughing because the barrel hits her in the head and knocks her out,but if you watch the slide has already returned to battery and her finger is still inside the trigger guard when it hits her.

Someone or something in society is to blame here. Maybe it's S&W, too, for irresponsibly over-hyping their badass hand cannon to the wrong audience. There seems to be a widespread misconception that the 500 is a "fun" gun, a novelty item etc. Lots of unqualified people ran out and bought one...solely for the purpose of joking around with friends...BBAANNGG!!! Ha-hah LoL. Similar thing happened in the 70's after the Dirty Harry film...a bunch of inexperienced folks just had to have one and then later realized that firing it was beyond their abilities. They aren't toys, though there are still a bunch of dumb kids out there treating them as such.
