wonderful post. Bart and of course his dad, are always at the top of the list of my favorites.....as writers of course, but really as men of true character. thanks for this post, made my day.

IT brought tears to my eyes to read your story of visiting Bart, Tank. I still miss his Daddy but Bart was indeed the real deal when we met at SH'91[?] I think we should talk to him about showing up again, and you tell him I promise not to outshoot him again with the " Old Colt for a Young Buck " SAA pistol.
It was mighty good seeing you and Doc last week in the NM high country where it was a damnsite cooler than southern NM, huh ?!!

Sounds like a great trip!!! There is only a handful of writers I would love to meet and Bart is on the top . Bart's colum is the first thing I read in shooting times. The others writers being Brian Pearce,JT, Ross Seyfried and Terry Wieland.

This Doc guy must be pretty smart. He's going somewhere hot and takes an always nearby generously proportioned shadow caster with him. LOL. Am glad this thread got bumped back up. Thanks.
