I assume the 44 mag Mt Gun barrels do not mate up with the L-frame/686?
Very nice all around Aggie

Smiths out of 686 barrels entirely, said everything is going to current production and won't sell performance center barrels at all. Thumper I shot you a PM.

Very, very nice work. I have a S & W Model 696 and a 296 but that custom revolver that you put together looks really outstanding. Nice Job !!!!

Not sure on preference for carry yet on the cylinder. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. Jack's advice was that if I want to put a lot of rounds downrange, keep the SS cylinder in it. Be aware if you are planning one like this that the 5 shot hand for a 696 does not mate up with an early 586/686 trigger (something about a press fit pin - I'm not a S&W guy). Jack had to swap to a different trigger for me. The CCH lockwork was from a 586 parts kit. Jack also has another like this for me in his shop. It's using a 681 (fixed sight)as the base gun, a 396 mountain light (lite?) barrel shroud (cut to about 2.5" bbl length) over a liner, and with another Ti cylinder. That one will have two hammers, one bobbed, one target.

Aggie 01: What neat projects can't wait to see the 581 Snubbie. Should make for a great concealed carry gun with the Gold Dot 200grain JHPs.

Are you going to put some wood on that gripframe? Would like to see photos of that too!
