I have a CZ 527 American reamed to 22 K Hornet. I’ve been using Lil’ Gun to fire form cases, 12.0 to 13.0 depending on bullet weight. I’m now down to my last ½ # and need to save this for K cases. Does anyone use H110 or IMR 4227 to fire form? I plan to use Midway Dog town 45gr SP. What’s your favorite?

K Hornets can be formed with most any light charge, just look in any load manual for Hornet loads, that is not a crital situation, did my first 67 years ago at age 14, Chamber conversion done by Lysle Kilburn. An early mentor of mine. Fireforming a 257 Banshee from an 6.5x 68 takes 100 grs of a slow burner. That's a real fireformed. That cartridge delivers 4000 FPS with a 100 grainer in a 30"bbl. Have taken prarie dogs with rifles I've built out to 1200 yds.

Agreed. I have a Kimber of Oregon, Model 82 that I had rebored to 22 K Hornet many years ago. Most any powder suitable for that cartridge will work. Save your Lil Gun.
