Jim I gotta say I think that's the ugliest gun I've ever seen - but hey I'm a function over form guy too... I also figured out a way to increase the pressure of the base pin latch spring - since I didn't want to wait for a spring kit to come. I removed the spring, put it over a nail and stretched it out to lengthen it about .25" or so, replaced it, and it's now stronger. Who knows if it will stay that way though. Another question, about Belt Mtn pins - I know they tighten the cylinder up, and don't eject, but will they noticeably increase accuracy? Seems like on a non-linebored gun, a little sideplay would help accuracy. And, since my gun has about .0025" endshake, .0045" b/c gap, and .0075" headspacing, I think I need a .002" rear endshake bushing. Any experience or tips on how to work that out? Thanks, Pete If you are worried about a non line bored cylinder with a Belt Mountain pin have the forcing cone chamfered to 11 degrees and have the barrel Taylor Throated. It will help center the bullet before it hits the rifling if the chamber and bore are slightly off dead center. The Taylor Throating will also relieve any restriction where the barrel is screwed into the frame. A restriction at this point will swage the bullet down and then it will be smaller than the bore enough to drastically affect accuracy.
