This is gonna be a real open ended question. How hard is it to install a bisley hammer in an old model Ruger Vaquero? Keep in mind you're talking to a real gunsmithing doofus! Thanks, Paul

The hardest part is finding the bisley hammer. Once you do that it is simply a matter of matching the bottom hump or curved part of the original hammer onto the larger bisley hammer. If you want to try, let me know and I will send you a pattern hammer with the spur removed and a slave pin so you can lay the pattern hammer on the bisley hammer, insert the slave pin and scribe the new, smaller shape onto the bisley hammer. Then it is just a matter of dremel and files then finish sand paper.

Here it is after I shaped it pretty close on the bench grinder. Use the pin to place them side by side and simply scribe a line on both sides.
