Made it years ago on my grandfather's farm in Vermont. Still buy a gallon every now and then and have it shipped from Vermont.
Good stuff!
Dennis.

We never buy less than a gallon at one time and a gallon now is going for around $55 - $60 plus shipping. Prices do vary from year to year depending on production. Last year I think we paid $48. Just do an online search and you'll find many options. Dennis.

We just had the chardon Maple Festival a couple weekends ago. My ole 'hood. People we know from Church make and market map-le sugar products. The Bissels. I highly recommend the mustard w/maple suger. For dipping or as spread. www.bissellmaplefarm.com Dave and Debbie and their son, Nathan. steve

They have also started selling bourbon barrel aged maple syrup. They'll be opening a small retail space down the road from me this year sometime. Check'em out. steve

We buy the half gallon jug two/three times a year. Grade B is the dark and more favorable variety. The best... Local farmers market always has one or more table set up selling at least grade A in our section of New Hampshire.

I tap 15-20 trees every year. It's a good reason to get up early in the morning and get in the woods after trapping season is done. While I don't care for syrup (or any sweets) everybody else around here seems nutty for the stuff so I'll give most of it away. Folks remember it and drop off fresh veggies or fruit in the summer.

I love the stuff. Ages ago when I used to make my own beer I used maple syrup for one batch and actual maple sap for another. I recall that it came out very nice.
