This book was written by Capt. Charles Askins, Jr. in 1939. It is the Captains treatise on proper handgun shooting and the short chapters cover everything from guns, to competition to hunting small game. It is interesting to read the authors ideas that nothing larger than a rabbit should be shot with a handgun simply because they do not have the killing power needed. He even states that while he dislikes the idea of more laws, he feels that laws banning the hunting of big game with handguns SHOULD be put in place. When you combine ideas like this with his stories of practicing his shooting at hawks and other raptors you can see the change our sport has undergone in the last 75 years. This book is in decent shape with no torn pages nor obvious markings but the dust jacket is torn and ragged on the edges. The shipped price on the book is $20 and the first person to post "I'll Take It" then follows it with a PM gets it sent their way.
Thanks for looking,
Robb

Wow, sorry I missed that one. I heard someone say "if you want a new ideal read an old book." I like old books.
