Man....I just can't do the lowland or Islay scotches. The peat turns me off. My go-to is Dalmore 12 year with Balvenie 15 reserved for special occasions. My dad just gave me a bottle of Balvenie double wood and Glenfidich 15 year. Haven't cracked it open yet. Probably save if for turkey season at the camp.

There are so many great scotches out there, the Balvenie Port Wood is fantastic as well!

TBH I'm afraid to even touch Scotch. Malt, or anything closely related, horribly upsets my bowels...I get "fire-rrhea". Just not worth it to try drinking scotch. My own fave at present is Mezcal - whether the cheap Monte Alban, or the rarer Oro de Oaxacan. Jeez, Scotch gives your stomach problems, but it likes tequila?? I like Islay Scotches, Laphroig being my go-to. I like Scotch, but I've got a bottle of Laphroig 10 year old that I just can't drink. ]I like Scotch, but I've got a bottle of Laphroig 10 year old that I just can't drink. Ronnie Ronnie, I completely understand. It is almost medicinal. I didn't really like it much the first time I tried it many years ago.

You guys need to try "The Famous Grouse". It is not as expensive but had a wonderful taste and flows over the pallet without a trace. My family came from Forfar and were named "Scott". Jim
