Does anyone know of a readily available source for these?

The Hornady XTP's should be available somewhere. You didn't specify brand. steve

At this point I'm looking for ANYTHING. I'm wanting to duplicate Mr. Bradshaw's 357 Maximum loads over on that thread.

Don't overlook .358 rifle bulllets of 180 and 200 grains, including Hornady 180 Sire Point, the excellent Speer 180 Flat Point, and Hornady and Sierra 200 Round Nose. Ignore cannelure, and roll or profile crimp on ogive when necessary. You may not get enough Win 680 or Accurate 1680 in the case to satisfy, but 296/H110 and IMR & Hodgdon 4227 will get them going. The Spire Pint or Spitzer, of course, adds a lot to COL. Federal brass lighter and for that reason not as tough as Remington, but holds a hair more powder. Don't even think about trimming Maximum brass, just seat to fit cylinder. David Bradshaw

I checked my stockpiles(HA! small box) and found none. Happened to pass thru Cabela's today and didn't see any.
Can you produce acceptable results with gas-checked lead? Leadheads could have you shooting in a week or so! With 180, 200 or 205gr bullets.

The best 180 gr jacketed bullet is available here, cheap too. I have a load of the same 44 and 45 slugs I bought some years ago from them on clearance. I see they still have 300 gr 45's. My Ruger 44 Carbine runs on them. The ideal jacketed slug for the Maximum IMO. www.wideners.com/itemdetail.cfm?item_id=526
