Not me - I didn't get 'em all! I did spend a few years waiting for a "Red River D" that never materialized. Jeff and I were going to get consecutive numbers.

Okay, if you won't well a hammer, what about a bisley hammer with the rest of parts it is attached to?

The Double Eagle was the one that I regret not trying to get. Were they rare? I am currently trying to get a Ruger 5151 and a Stainless Bisley hammer to get close.

If I recall correctly they introduced the double eagle kind of late in the game, perhaps a few years before they closed their doors. Parts for them to build anything other than the standard single actions usually seemed to be in short supply.

I know, I know, I am slow to get into the USFA game but I am trying REALLY hard to make up for lost time! This one just arrive yesterday and I think it is one of the nicest revolvers I have seen. These Colt based single actions by USFA feel downright dainty compared to my Ruger bisleys but I sure like their fit and finish. This one wears ivories by Dan Chesiak who apparently supplied some of the ivory grips for USFA. At least that is the story I was told and the grips are numbered to the gun and have Dan's initials as well. A long barreled 45 Colt.

Beautiful ! That one trumps a Double Eagle any day in my book. It would be nice to have both.

That is one beautiful garden. I have lots of trees but none that will produce a gun like that. Good purchase.

Not a great pic, but here is my one and only USFA. I did have Scott Kolar do a set of French Walnut grips for. I'm still on the hunt for a Bisley FT Target in 44 Special.

And I thought this thread had died. 44 Special Pre-War black powder frame. Tru Ivory grips.
