I am new to the Forum and have what may be a simple question. I have a Ruger New Vaquero, stainless in .38/.357 cal. and would like to have the cylinder spin more freely. What is the best way to reduce the drag short of having a full action job done.
Thanks

Thanks Welcome to the site! Come over to the lounge and introduce yourself! This particular section of the forum doesn't get enough traffic. I don't have a New Vaq, so I can't be much help. Does the cylinder actually drag? Or do you just want it to spin like it's on bearings? I'm less experienced than some, but what comes to mind would be a spring kit to lighten up the internals, a Belt Mountain oversize base pin to help line everything up, and a really good cleaning and lubing. And shoot it a Bunch.

Shorten the hand spring a few coils.

Power Custom's Free Spin Pawl... Makes a big difference. It allows the cylinder to spin either direction as well. Power Custom
