That's the exact mold I use for 99% of my 480 shooting, I rarely stand on my loads, light to mid range loads with W231 and HS6 shoot better than I can hold out as far as I dare try with a handgun. You will be very pleased with that mold for sure...

Steve,
Can't tell you how much I like the grips in your avatar!!! LBT Mold should be a winner -- not much in the lower 48 that shouldn't work on -- you should now this is from a paper puncher, not a hunter.

Fowler- That is my plan, mostly light to midrange loads, my 480 New Vaquero won't see a steady diet of heavy loads. I've got the 500 max when I feel like abusing myself Paul- Thanks, They are on my 44 mag. My first custom I had done originally in the mid 90's. Last summer I had Jack Huntington reshape/extend the steel gripframe, make the grips with a beautiful piece English walnut and install a new front sight.

I'm sure you'll be impressed with the LBT mold. Here's the 380 LFN and 400 WFN with LBT lube.

doghawg- Good looking bullets, mine will get lubed with LBT blue as well. Veral's molds have always cast great for me.

I have an Old Model Super in the safe that just begs for a remake just like that. Now if I could just find some of that beautiful walnut --- Paul

I did manage to fire up the casting pot today. I didn't have a lot of time but did end up with 80 keepers. The mold casts great, the bullets just fall out the mold. The diameter is perfect, the bullets just barely kiss my .476 sizer die.

I'm contemplating buying one of their moulds. I didn't se handles listed on their website, so what brand/type of handles do they use?
