So I have a Ruger Blackhawk in 45colt that I bought to tinker with. It's a bit of a beater, so I figured I wouldn't lose too much money if I messed it up.
I plan on converting it to the bisley grip, hammer and trigger. Upon trying to put the gun back together, the original cylinder latch gets frozen in place when I pin the whole assembly in (trigger, latch and loading gate spring). I'm curious if the latch is fit to the trigger? Does anyone know if that's the case? I have an oversized latch I was going to put in eventually, which I may just do anyway if I have to do some fitting of the original cylinder latch.
Any thoughts.

sathington.... sounds like you disassembled the SBH, and the cylinder catch binds since you reassembled it. Something is binding. Something is cramped, possibly the gate spring or cylinder latch spring. Take it apart and start over. Take care mating grip frame to cylinder frame. The only screw you need to check operation is the front grip frame screw.
To index screw threads, counter rotate each until you feel a slight "click."
Have all five grip frame screws well started before you snug any of 'em. Make final grip frame alignment as you snug screws. David Bradshaw
