Anyone got one yet? I feel the itch for a new .22 handgun and I wonder if they are as accurate as I feel they should be. I don't need a ... If I get one I want an accurate gun out of the box. Thanks for any insight Mark

I have one and love it. I posted a pic of it a while back in TW's .22 thread...
The Mosquito is a great little trainer, particularly for starting a new semi-auto shooter off - I usually start any beginner off with a .22 revolver before I "automate" them. It has the feel of a combat gun, plus all the switches and levers to learn. Mine seems plenty accurate, and it is a blast to shoot.
On the day I bought mine, I was stuck between it and a P-22. It came down to the fact the the P-22 was just too small for my hands... To date I have only found one type of ammo it doesn't like (Winchester XPertHV - though I haven't tried it with the other recoil spring yet, the gun comes with two spring weights), and it happily eats everything else.

A guy's been trying to sell one here locally for the last part of the summer. He says his gun is almost unfired, has a brick of ammo with it, and he wants $350.00 for it. That seems high to me.

Just FYI for anyone who wants to know, all the feedback I have gotten elsewhere is that they are decent plinkers. Nothing better.
If it can't be a tackdriver, I'm just not interested.

Stick with what I've got. I have plenty of accurate .22's. Just thought if that Mosquito was 'all that' I'd check one out. They apparently are not, so no damage done. Maybe that will free up any $$ for that Bearcat .32 conversion.

32 bearcat=good idea! one thing i will say, and i don't know what you're looking for in accuracy, but when Walther brought out their little plinker a few years back everyone said the same thing. i still bought one and i was pleasantly surprised how accurate it is with some ammo. i honestly believe some people just can't shoot and the beginner guns/lower price point guns sometimes get a bad rap, more so than all others, for this very reason.

I agree. Also, how many people try a wide variety of .22 ammo to find the one their gun likes? If all I had tried in my Single-Six was Remington bulk I would think it wasn't much of a shooter. It shoots great with Winchester PP and CCI Stingers, not to mention CCI CB's!

Any time I get a new barrel or new gun in .22 I go through a set testing procedure. That includes testing on average 20 different loads. I have a big ammo box full of 'hunting' ammo and another full of 'match' ammo.
Since I have found the Eabco HP tool, I have taken to using match ammo to hunt with more often than not. The slightly slower velocity becomes a non issue with a great big ol' hole in the front of the bullet. An audible POP will tells me if I did my part right quick.
As I have run through it I have also not replaced the majority of bulk ammos. I used to be a fan because I could always find at least one of them shot well in each new barrel/gun, but every one of them also had FTF, FTE and general pain in the ars performance. For just another few $$ per brick I can get all the performance I need with better ammo.
CCI SGB, Sidewinder, Zapper... I have guns that will shoot each of these like match ammo. Why mess with bulk ammo that only shoots 1-2" groups?
