Rick tooled these holsters for me One for a 5.5" Blackhawk or Bisley and the other for a SAA, or Rodeo, New Vaquero etc. I had as much fun taking the pictures as I did finishing the holsters. I finished one in a tan stain, did like it and went back over it with a dark brown stain to create this oxblood color.

Very nice work! I love the basket weave background for the Celtic work.

Beautiful work and I love the color. When I was a kid living in Fort Worth I got started on leather working. I made some really pretty large knife sheaths. Tandy Leather Works was right there in Fort Worth so I picked up a rather extensive set of tools a piece or two at a time.
I got hard up for money at a really young age and sold all those tools at a yard sale. I really can't tell you how much I wish I still had those tools today. Truth is, I just couldn't afford to replace them now.
I live about two hours drive from Tijuana Mexico but haven't been down there for what must be over 20 years now. While roaming through the shops down there you could always view one of the leather workers doing there stuff like the jewelery craftsman that used to be in the little cubicles in front of some jewelery stores
I have a real appreciation for fine leather work. The gentlemen associated with leather work in this forum have shown a great attention to detail in their work. I really did some drooling over those holsters with the dark coloring and the light colored edge lacing. That was almost "overload" for me.
