I hope this is not a dupe post - but I just now heard of this incident which happened back in November. It didn't get much publicity - apparently - but it should. Too many casual shooters out there who think these things are for fun....or for playing pranks and handing it to an inexperienced person. TBH, I'd be a little nervous if I'm at an indoor range and someone next to me has rented a 500. www.wgem.com/story/23864457/2013/11/03/woman-dead-in-accidental-shooting

Sadly I knew it was just a matter of time. There are so many You Tube posts with stuff like this. One specifically with a skinny ass blonde discharging a second shot just over her forehead with a X frame 500,and all the people around laughing like it was so funny. I never did see the point in it much less the humor. I think it was just last fall when a young man killed himself with an Uzi up around Columbia. Full clip , full auto and it ended up turning in his hand.

"Casual shooter" is one way of putting it... There's been so many times I've been fearful of shooters to my left and right that I simply do not go to ranges inside the city limits anymore. Period. It's simply a Hollywood escape for them or an opportunity to play out their thug life fantasy.
I'll only shoot on private land (friend willing with other veterans as a get together), deep inside national forest with plenty of cover, or at one particular range deep in gold country where the range master isn't scared to stomp your guts out if you're careless and where most shooters are experienced.
