I've got a friend that owns a Mauser single barrel 12 gage shotgun. The barrel is long enough to knock out a duck and the end of the barrel is about 3/32" thick. It does not have a tall crazy trap rib. I've never seen another or can find something on or about it. It is a beautiful gun and I used it to win a couple of buddy buddy skeet shoots. anyone ever seen or even have one?

Sounds like a Geha. They were post-WWI commercial conversions of the then-abundant former German military Mauser actions. They are interesting bits of history, are not all that rare (I've seen many over the years), and are generally considered of questionable safety to shoot.
