Having experimented with a variety of grips for my N-frames the past few years I've settled on a combination of a medium-thick Magna style grips without checkering and a Tyler T-grip. Makes for a fast handling combination when shooting DA, but also one that anchors quickly for precise shots in single-action. I went through many combinations of target grips before settling the Magna/Tyler-T, and I think, for now, that this is my go-to combination for my N-frames with 4-5" light barrels. For my 6.5" 44's and 45's with the target-rib barrels I still like coke-style target grips to off-set the additional barrel weight. Anybody else like the Tyler T-grips? If so, post up a pic! I'll likely be one of the few who does not like the T-Grip. For me it's more comfortable to leave the area behind the trigger guard alone.

and then there are those of us who need that filler desperately. love the look of my schrimsawed ivory on the classic pre-29 5screw .44 but unlike Elmer Keith i need the filler of the tylerT and dont need the carving of steerheads. ut that old 4inch jewel is a joy to behold and shoot and is as close to elmer's preferred choice as i will likely ever get and be able to use effectiveliy

Have used and like them for the N frame, even used on a couple of other revolvers, they definitely have a place in the Handgun World. No pix none owned at the Moment. But if Andrew ever parts with that 27 he stole a couple weeks back I'd order a T for it.

Welcome to the forum outsidebear! Those are some fine sixguns you have there! Looking forward to more of your posts. I have a set of T's, but they don't get used. I really like shooting this gun, a Smith 13-3, but with factory grips it just doesn't point for me. If I grab it and point it at the wall, it's pointing up at a 30* angle. I put on the T-grip and it'll point up at a 15* angle. I could probably even get used to the feel of the T-grip, probably not so with the factory grip, just doesn't fit my hand. So, now it wears ugly but functional Hogue grips. And ugly but functional pretty much sums up the gun!

I've found that factory stocks and a Tyler T work better for me than anything else when it comes to revolvers....
