I am a member of many forums but have narrowed my favorites down to 2. Number one is this one and number 2 is Actions speak louder than words. It seems to me that so many of the forums are full of know it alls spoiling for an argument or the chance to put someone down. This forum and asltw words is made of some of the most knowledgeable yet humble people I have met. I have been lucky enough to meet a couple guys in person and have had dealings with several others. All are first class. Thanks to Lee for making this place what it is.

What does the other forum deal with Gary? I am not much of a forum visitor except this one and the Ruger Forum but just the title of the other forum sounds interesting to me.

This one is definitely my favorite. I love that when someone ask about a holster or sixgun on some page in "Sixguns" JT himself will chime in and tell you what it is.
I also frequent a few more but my second favorite to read is the Alaska Outdoors forum. When those guys rate new gear and guns you know it has been put through some pretty harsh testing. Plus the hunting stories there are great.

I appreciate the kind words guys. You all make it a very easy forum to manage. In fact I rarely have to moderate which says a lot about the quality of people we have here. Thanks again, -Lee www.singleactions.com"Buidling carpal tunnel one round at a time"

ASLTW is moderated by predominately JMB platform gunsmiths, aficionado's and related industry professionals. Ted Yost, Don Williams, Chuck Rogers, Patrick Sweeney and others. The laid back style is similar. You rarely see a disparaging post and or argument. You see guys profiling their work and interests and some of the prettiest custom 1911's and BHPs.
I go weeks and months sometimes without hitting the forums but this forum always feels like home.

Yep, this is by far the best forum out there. The Ruger forum is a close second. 24hour campfire is horrendous, but the classifieds there is most always worthwhile.

It would be pretty hard to be Single Actions Forum or Ruger Forum, pretty much zero when it comes to arguing & name calling like some Forums. Great bunch of guys & a lot of knowledge shared.

The knowledge on this forum is simply amazing. I think the fact that so many members are close friends only adds to the family atmosphere! This forum is definitely in my top two.
My other haunt is a forum for Indiana gun owners. That site seems like one of the best regional gun sites I've seen. It has suffered a lot from too many worthless members but there is still some good to be found! I check the classifieds there way too often, then come here for the real good reading and browsing!
The members of this site are nothing short of inspirational! Which is really bad for my bank account...

I will go take a look. Been a couple of years I think.

This is the only forum that I look at pretty much every day. I'm a member of a bunch of other ones, but this is the one I look at the most by far. Great place, and great people.
I've learned a lot from my visits here.
