WTS - I have a number of kits consisting of raw cast to partly machined TLA parts. While the one pictured is for the Number Five, I also have them for the Border Special and South Texas Army and a very few for the Flat Top Target. The kits will not include a cylinder blank, though I can provide measurements of one if you so desire. I had only a few of them and they are gone already, other than a couple I kept for myself. I have only a few rear sight assemblies, so once they are gone, the kit won't include one. However, if you decide to machine one of these for a rear sight, I highly recommend you use a Ruger Micro rear sight anyway, as it is a better sight than the TLA one, in my opinion.
The frame is unnumbered and is not a firearm, as it does not have enough machining on it to be considered one. It is possible with machining skill to use these parts to assemble a working firearm, as I know of people who have done it, but I don't have the drawings necessary for you to do it. Those who have done it have figured it out for themselves (and I have seen, and even held one, more than one example of such).
These parts are being sold for repair or replacement or as collectibles. Whatever else you do with them is up to you. They are the only TLA parts I know of in existence, as I got them from the gentleman who purchased them from Bill Grover's estate. If you want any spare parts for your TLA for down the road, this is your chance to get them.
All barrel blanks are .44 or .45 caliber and are 5.5" only. The parts will be a mix of raw cast to partly machined to mostly machined. The parts may be a mix of stainless and 4140 carbon steel. I will include a copy of a TLA exploded parts diagram from their 1996 manual. There are a couple small parts (screws and springs) which were not in the parts lot from the estate at all, but Grover sourced those from Ruger/Brownells and you can get them from there if you so desire. For instance, I have no set screws for the firing pin bushing, but Grover used a Ruger screw for that.
Price for one set is $360 postage paid in the US and $300 ppd for each set thereafter. If you want to buy more than 10 sets, email me and we can talk about a good volume discount. I have 100+ sets total, including all models and stainless/4140 parts permutations.
Please email me with any questions. Thanks for looking!
