Hell, I'll even throw in Whitworth's book to sweeten the deal!
If you shoot a revolver, you have to clean it.
If you shoot a book, it will have a hole in it.

Mine basically fell apart. Great content, crap binding. Can't imagine it being worth much at all. I am thinking the digital edition is the way to go though a bit more difficult to read on the crapper. I'll sell mine for just a grand...

I remember when I could have bought this book at a more "normal" price. I didn't, thinking, "I'll get it later." Well, putting off getting it didn't work, so I decided to buy the downloadable version this weekend. At least now I won't feel too bad,,,!

I recall dithering about buying the book, then it was suddenly unavailable. I have the Kindle version though. I'm having problems with my Gary Reeder book coming apart too. These guys need to find better binders. I don't buy many physical books these days, preferring to use shelf space for the books I intend to keep forever. If they don't hold up to reading, then what good are they? Chris

Sorry guys, but nothing beats hardcopy. I will admit that once it completely falls apart it does make great pics for the walls of "Man Land".... While I do agree with your sentiment generally, the new eBooks on my iPad have some pretty high quality pics and much better binding. I also have some Taffin books on it and the newest Gun Digest and it's growing on me...

Whit where is the new book and where was the old book printed? I'd heard all hardcover books now were bound in China. Seems their glue is as good as their lead paint. Thanks again Clinton

Thanks again Clinton China -- like the whole industry -- unfortunately. The publishing companies just can't afford to print these relatively low-volume books in country. Sad reality......

I found out over the weekend that my copy of THE CUSTOM REVOLVER by Hamilton Bowen is worth a lot of money, two used copies on Amazon are listed at $1900 and over $2000. How would I go about putting mine up for sale where it would have a reasonable chance to sell? Considering the E Book can be had for $9.99 on Amazon that would seem a little high... I'll also be the lone voice in the wilderness in saying that the binding on my copies degraded very quickly and I don't know I'd buy another hard copy after both bad experiences, which were not isolated incidents after hearing from BCA...Great information but the book shouldn't self destruct like a Mission Impossible assignment... I bought the E-book not long ago and it had great pictures to go along with the reading. As well as the Ebook was done, I'll take it over hardbound. As far as reading it on the throne, I just read it on a phone.
