Can't speak to the others, have only shot the Starline; it's mighty fine brass.

I have used both and they are both fine. Does this mean that the revolver is nearing completion, Snyd?

I have 250 starline. Just trying to decided if I should pick up this stuff as well or stick with one brand. I like consistency but have learned to "get while the gettins good" when it comes to components.

I have shot both in my .475L and I cant tell a difference. At that price Id grab them, its not like they are a depriciating investment unless you shoot the snot out of them. And because they are just not available for sale often, Starline seldom has them in stock it seems.
Shoot your first batch until the brass is dead and then pull your new fresh brass off the shelf and wear them out...

How about Buffalo Bore brass? (They seem awfully proud of it).

I have both and each is done well in moderate loads 850/1100 fps 10-12 times in use. Where I have seen a difference is above 1200 fps the hornady starts to split after 5-6 times of reloading. That said at .50ea that is a great buy.

How about Buffalo Bore brass? (They seem awfully proud of it). Buffalo Bore is the same as Starline................If it wasn't for Tim Sundles and a few other Men.................we would ALL still be forming 500's of 348 and 475 out of 45/70.... Take a look at the price of RCBS forming dies...........20 years ago there was no Buffalo Bore....... He should be proud!!!!!

Just an innocent question about the quality of Buffalo Bore brass. Appreciate knowing it's "the same as Starline". Interesting to note the asking price is twice that of Starline...

I find both brands fine, except in seating primers, Starline are only flush seated with Hornady can seat to .003-.004" below flush. I prefer primers seated below flush. Any others find this problem Maybe just the lot I have. Bought from Tim S.

Any others find this problem ??? Maybe just the lot I have. Bought from Tim S. I use Starline for .45 Colt and 500L with Federal primers. By my experience, they seat sub flush 100% of the time. I've never had a high primer.

Thanks for the responses guys. It turned out the guy called me back and offered it to me for .40 apiece. Needless to say I bought it. Kind of a sad deal though. The guy has had a 500L project with Dustin L. but has been fighting cancer so had to pull the whole thing and sell off some stuff. So, if any of you are men who believe in Prayer (which I know many of you are). Pray for this man. I"ll not mention his name on the internet.
Thanks
