Having only moved back into the old house a couple of months ago I finally got my shop dug out enough to do some work in. Have wanted to replace the front sight on my Ruger in a bad way.......... drew up what I wanted, took measurements, etc........... only to find out all the steel I hd in my shop was A2 DANG!!!! Now to decide what do I want to make the front sight out of........... any suggestions ? Cannot say I have ever seen a blued revolver with a stainless sightblade. The only other stainless is the Ruger bisley hammer........ dont know if it would look goodfy with a stainless hammer and sight blade??? What do you all think? Ever seen it done?

Any plain old cold roll to my way of thinking. Have tried most e.xotic material all to no better results except to wear out cutting tools faster. Tell me what is wrong with cold roll for sights

will take any flat stock to make front bases or blades that i can get. forunately for me have ready access to scrap leftover bar ends in varying sizes that accommodate most any front sight
