In some trading I ended up with some of what I think are plated bullets for 30 carbine. Round nose, 110 gr totally covered in copper and with my caliper they measure .310. So my question is has anyone tried these out of a 32 mag/327 At .310 dia. they may be a little small and I'm sure the plated bottom does not help with obturation. As this is a hotbed for 32s someone can save me some time if this aint gonna work.

Is that just because of the "loose" fit?

Mostly. The plated bullets usually aren't great even when they are the right size. The case probably will not do a good job of holding the bullets under recoil either. They are undersized and have no crimp groove.
What the hell though. You've got them. Load a few and see what happens!

Okay, I resolved the neck tension thing buy not using an expander plug. That gave super neck tension and a green light to start loading. I decided to not get fancy and try some basic Unique stuff. After cranking out 14 rounds (7 round cylinder)at a couple pressure levels of both 32 mag and 327 I was ready to head to the range. That is The WORST ammo I have ever made!!! At about 20 feet SOME of them got on a 24x24 sized target but they seemed to be tumbling. So bad I decided to blow them off at a dirt bank at 100 yards out. Hmmmm, How many MOAs is an 8 to 10 foot circle around the point of aim ? So, can I use these bullets? As the collective forum wisdom stated, NOPE.

If you had a 30 carbine Ruger SA, you'd be in business. I have 2 of 'em, but have plenty of projectiles already.
