Are all Ruger Bisley back frame screws the same size hex screw? What size? Were any of them Torx screws?
I swear that mine looks to be a Torx screw...
Is there a Ruger single action screwdriver set that has a the proper hex driver also?

The two socket head screws which secure the back of the Bisley grip frame take a hex key not found in many sets. The fine RCBS hex key set contains this vital size. Diameter across the flats measures about .108-inch. Ruger may be using Torx screws, as I received a Torx key in the box with a brand new Bisley Hunter, although the grip frame has hex heads. Bisleys I encounter take just the one size. David Bradshaw

I have a set of hex head gunsmithing drivers from Brownell's, which includes the size of the hex screw on the rear of the Bisley. This driver works great for this application.

Ok - definitely not crazy then I'm going to head to Lowes with some calipers...

Never had a problem with finding an allen wrench for the Bisley frame screw in the standard set. Of course my "standard set" may be a bit more extensive than most. Do remember thinking that a ball end allen wrench might be more appropriate than a straight wrench.

Haven't called Ruger. In retrospect, the Torx driver included with Hunter series is for scope ring screws. Reckon the backstrap grip frame screws remain HEX. David Bradshaw

I just took mine apart this evening. Used a hex from a regular set, nothing special, don't recall the size though.
