If one had a Phillips & Rodgers conversion on a super blackhawk could the 50ae cylinder be rechambered? Say 50jrh or 50we? I like the revolver just not the round, for no particular reason.
Any who, Thanks Josh

Probably not, only for one reason, the 500WE and 500JRH were made for .500" bullets from the start and have a .526" base dia. The 50AE was designed for a .510" bullet that was changed at the last minute down to .500" and was given body taper the 50AE has a .547" Base dia, If you re-chamber a 50AE to a 500JRH it will have a big chamber and will work the brass maybe even to the point of splitting.

Thanks Big! I remember them having to remake it to .500" for importation.

I have a Super Blackhawk in 50 A.E. that I like a lot ( but then I have an Automag 5 that shoots the same cartridge ), & is not gas operated, so I can shoot heavy cast bullets in it...
