I haven't sat down to load a batch yet with my .32, (got my bullets from Western in just last week) But my hazy recollection tells me that my Lee die set specifically mentions something about sizing the brass enough to take .308 bullets...I'll try to look at it when I get home. Which will be early today. I woke up in North Carolina this morning and was still on time for work here in Texas...

Thanks guys ! I am seriously looking at Redding dies,I like the combination crimp feature they have. Just for the record ; I just found this out.My RCBS 32 H&R die is sizing the cases back to an O.D. of 0.3323 inches. With Starline brass I get good bullet pull with this die set using 0.313 bullets but not with 0.312 bullets. But while "playing around " with my other dies,I found out that my RCBS carbide 32 Auto die would re-size the cases to 0.3295.This difference gave me the bullet pull I need with 0.312 bullets.I have loaded some rounds up using the 32 Auto die and will try them out later at the range in my 0.312 throated gun.

In years gone by didn't RCBS sell their 32 Mag and 32-20 dies with two expander balls, one for 30s and one for 32s? Since the TC Contenders were the primary 32 mag and 32-20 guns in use and had .308 barrels it was a necessary thing...

The expander in my dies measured 0.313 ,which surprised me ! I whittled it down to 0.310 and things work a little better now !

You can currently get both size expander balls from RCBS, you just have to call and ask for them, they consider it a warranty thing as it's necessary to load good ammo, and it's been my experience they like ot keep their customers extremely happy, even when you do something stupid to their product

When I got a .32mag, I simply used the same Lee dies I had on hand for .32acp and they've worked just fine. I've since added .327 Federal to teh mix and the same dies are still working.
