God bless all our vets and may our deceased brethren in arms be with our Heavenly Father this day in paradise.

Yesterday my family went to a service at our Catholic Church does with the local VFW each Memorial Day. What a service! 30 minutes of music from our local citizens' marching band, presentation of the colors by the VFW followed by mass. It was patriotic from beginning to end with many vets in attendance. It ended as always with a reading of the members of our community that lost their lives in action from WWI to the present. A morning well spent. The remainder of the day was spent with relatives - many are vets.
A great day well spent thanking our vets that are still with us and remembering the ones that lost their lives fighting for us.
