Papa, that is a great looking stand. Did you make the slots with a Skil Saw? Thanks for sharing & the good pictures. Frank

Naw, I cheated and used my table saw ;D One could set up a simple jig and use a skill saw, but I didn't have too... Papa

Thanks Papa, I don't have a table saw, that would be easier. Frank

I use an old realtor sign (you know, the ones they put in your front yard when they're trying to sell your house) leftover from when I bought the last house I owned. Hold the target on with a couple clothespins and it worked great. Cost, $0.00.

I made one about that size (a little taller) with leftover 2x4's, held together with bolts finger tight...but I like the pvc pipe idea better. Much lighter & more compact!

Compact is right. I take it all apart and put it in a tote bag my wife made for me from some jeans she cut off for shorts. Just sewed up the bottom, hemmed up the top and sewed a ribbon lash about two inches down so I can fold the top over and tie it off like a rifle sock ;D
It holds two of 'em...

papa, Great idea! Thanks. It just occurred to me that I have about 500' of used 1" pvc behind the shed.

Great idea Papa! I made one out of pvc years ago but I like your idea with the slots, mine used clips and my son kept shooting them.
Just joined the local gun club tonight and we must provide our own target stands. I'll be stealing your idea if you don't mind. If you do, I'll still steal it but I just won't give you credit. ;-)

I just had Home Depot make me one. I had them cut 8 sections at 12" and one at 16". Cost of PVC and the "T"'s was $2.32.
