Do I see a chopped and shortened Swedish Mauser in the top and bottom pictures? That tell-tale cocking piece was the giveaway, but who did the barrel shortening? Looks a might handier than my handful of 29"ers.

The turned down bolt makes me think it's a shorter 38 vs a 96. I've never seen a stock that dark on a Swede.

I bought this swede at a local gun shope for dirt cheap, it is dated 1945 it has had the bolt turned down and been drilled and tapped for a scope, the barrel messured 24" and was threaded for a flash hider. it's a hoot to shoot, I'm going to shorten the barrel and git rid of the threaded end should make a dandy carbine!

Sure would like to find a decent Swede. I got pile of 6.5 147 gr store bought bullets. Got a 6.5 Carcano but just don't like it. The Swede is a way better gun all around.

The thred is for the device used when firing blanks, as our blanks uses a hollow bullet of wood there must be something that destoyes it upon leaving the muzzle. Flasch hiders were not in use for these rifles
Good too see that atleast some have found a good home overseas. Mathias
