Nice work on the top strap. His forte" Seen the same on Peacemakersdepot web site, more photos though, black powder frame I think. Worth a look, just for comparison. That's Lanaras site. Fixed my friends gun BTW. There are more photos in the links provided.

To much first hand personal experience with Alan here to even consider listening to any bashing based on second hand experience from a first time poster. Don't feed the troll.... ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) carlos, hope you weather this storm and evolve into a respected forum member!

I'm happy with the gun Mr. Harton did for me...I will be sending him another as soon as I finish gathering parts. ![](http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d162/stobbem053/44Special005-1.jpg) Mike

Jayhawker, if you're a business man, the first tenent is please the customer by doing as he asks. Ignoring a customer request to fullfil your work technique without consultiong the cutomer is, well, unacceptable, especially at the high price paid. Alan did not need to weld edges, as the before photos show pleanty of metal to work on without destroying the early marks. For your information, in scarce guns like early first gen militarys, original marking are the most important item, especially when there is nothing wrong with them. Customer satisfaction is the bottom line. Isn't that so with you?

Carlos....not sure what your agenda is here but you've made your point (though most of us disagree, myself included). So if you have anything productive to add to the forum you're welcome to stay. Otherwise you may want to find another forum. You've been warned. -Lee www.singleactions.com"Building carpal tunnel one round at a time"

I sent a nice old 3 screw SBH to Alan a few years ago with a set of Fishpaw Dall Sheep grips... ![](http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z110/agb1368/Harton/SBH/009-8.jpg) It came back cleaned up, cut to 5.5, with the appropriate sights. ![](http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z110/agb1368/Harton/SBH/010-11.jpg)

I asked Turnbull about checking the internals on my .41 # 5. No soap. They would be happy to finish it, but that was all. I guess the whole project goes to Alan. Does anyone know if he can match the original plum finish on the grip frame?
