The "make revolvers with a manual safety these days" thread was started by the same type of spammer. It's just a way to post a spam URL in the homepage link. I reported that one immediately... but that thread actually produced a couple educational (for me anyway) posts. lol.

The wolf issue is an interesting one. Especially Alaska, MT, ID and WY.
Here we are accused by the anti's of Arial Wolf Hunting which has been illegal since the seventies. But, groups like the Sierra Club run full page ads and and campaigns that refer to Aerial Wolf Hunting. Bleeding hearts in the lower 48 suck it up like free granola.

Notice the antis call it wolf HUNTING. But...Aerial wolf HUNTING is not allowed in Alaska. One cannot jump in his supercub, fly out and start shooting wolves wherever/whenver. The state has had aerial wolf control programs periodically. Here is the scoop from 2012. www.adfg.alaska.gov/static/regulations/wildliferegulations/pdfs/2012_2013_wolf_control_supplement.pdf"This supplement describes the wolf control programs currently underway in Alaska. These programs are separate from Alaska’s hunting programs, and are authorized under 5AAC 92.110 and 92.125. Alaska residents wishing to participate in these control programs need to understand how they differ from hunting regulations." Wolf Predator Control Program OverviewPrograms are conducted by selected resident citizen pilot/gunner teams that receive discretionary state permits authorizing same-day-airborne landing and shooting and/or aerial shooting from aircraft. To obtain one of these permits, an application must be submitted to the department, and authorized pilots and gunners will be notified if selected. Nonresidents cannot participate in the wolf control program. Note that this program is wolf control, not wolf hunting.

Why not treat them like coyotes and shoot them on sight to keep them from destroying the game animals? Or if they scavenge, in a particular area, some Temik would work if you could stand some collateral damage to get rid of them.
Heartless, I know....
